Parcela V 2016
Clear wine, purple color. Aromas of blueberry and sour cherry, with mineral and graphite notes. Fresh, intense and spicy with an elegant and persistent aftertaste, revealing the ageing potential.
Parcela V, installed on red soil derived from brown or crystalline limestone, with patches of shale, benefits from a Mediterranean climate with high temperature ranges and hot, dry summers.
After careful canopy management during the growing season, the grapes were hand-picked and transported to the winery in boxes.
The grapes are de-stemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration in a marble press for 48 hours. Fermentation itself was carried out in “lagares” of marble and stainless steel vats with temperature control.
After malolactic fermentation was completed, the wine aged for 12 months in 1st and 2nd year old French oak barrels. After bottling, it rested in bottles for 36 months in our cellar. In order to maintain its unique characteristics, this wine has not been stabilised and may create sediments naturally.
A wine for experts.
