Sangiovese 2022

TASTING NOTES

Clear wine, pale salmon color. Aromas of raspberry, currant, pomegranate, floral notes and subtle barrel toast. Fresh, fruity, mineral and dry with an elegant and persistent aftertaste.

VITICULTURE

The vineyards are planted on red clay soils with underlying brown or crystalline limestone, with some schist outcrops. They thrive under a Mediterranean climate, with large thermal fluctuations and hot, dry Summers.

After the green interventions, necessary during the growing season, the grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery in boxes.

WINEMAKING

After de-stemming and crushing, the grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press with oxidation protection. Static decantation for 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation of part of the must in 3rd year French oak barrels and the remaining part in stainless steel tanks with temperature control.

AGEING

Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine ages “sur lies” in stainless steel vats and oak barrels with bâtonnage for three months.

MOMENTS

A wine for everyday life, for the demanding consumer.

Salads, pasta, pizza, sushi and white meats.

Between 3 and 10 years, if stored in a cool, dark place with the bottle lying down.

Sangiovese (100%)

Must be served at a temperature of 10-12⁰C.
