Parcela C 2017
Clear wine, deep violet red, aromas of plum, cherry, fig, chocolate, spices and floral notes of violet. Complex, structured, fresh and elegant, smoky notes, rich tannins and a long finish, revealing all the potential for storage and aging
The Carignan variety is installed on a 13-hectare plot of the Cardeira Velha vineyard on red soils derived from brown or crystalline limestone, with shale stains, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with high temperature ranges and hot, dry summers, with high annual sunshine.
After careful canopy management during the growing season, the grapes were hand-picked and transported to the winery in small crates.
The grapes are de-stemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration in a marble press for 48 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with temperature control.
After undergoing malolactic fermentation, the wine aged 12 months in new French oak barrels. Once bottled, the wine aged in bottle for a further 30 months in our cellar. In order to maintain its unique characteristics, this wine has not been stabilised and may create sediments naturally.
